08 Dec gaypocalypse: littlebigdetails: Dream Host - When submitting a support request, it asks you to “select your general expertise”. Love this. I get why tech support people generally have to assume ignorance, but sometimes they get so stuck in that mode that they can’t even process my competent statements, and it’s frustrating. this is AWESOME. haven’t used them in a while but dreamhost is awesome all around too. my (step)dad is an it guy and therefore knows i grew up knowing about computers but still gets so stuck in that “dumb it down mode” he’ll ask me stuff like “did you try rebooting???”
