Love this. I get why tech support people generally have to assume ignorance, but sometimes they get so stuck in that mode that they can’t even process my competent statements, and it’s frustrating.

my (step)dad is an it guy and therefore knows i grew up knowing about computers but still gets so stuck in that “dumb it down mode” he’ll ask me stuff like “did you try rebooting???”
